KUALA LUMPUR: A solitary goal from midfielder Muhammad Danial Amier Norhisham secured a 1-0 victory for Kuching City FC over Kelantan The Real Warriors FC (TRW) in the Super League.
The win at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium extends Aidil Sharin Ishak’s side’s unbeaten run to five matches, solidifying their grip on second place.
Danial Amier scored the decisive goal in the 20th minute with a close-range finish that beat goalkeeper Damyanov Damyan Valeriy.
Kelantan had a golden chance to equalise in the 60th minute, but Albert Sang’s long-range effort was saved by Kuching City keeper Muhammad Haziq Nadzli.
The result leaves Kuching City on 28 points after 13 matches, three ahead of both Selangor FC and Kuala Lumpur City FC, who have a game in hand.
Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) continues to lead the standings with 36 points from 12 games.
Kuching City, with three wins and two draws in their last five, next face leaders JDT at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Jan 13. – Bernama
