Selangor and Sabah secure crucial away victories in Super League

Selangor FC beat PDRM 3-1 while Sabah FC defeated Terengganu FC 3-1 in key away wins during the latest Malaysia Super League fixtures.

SELANGOR FC and Sabah FC both claimed important away victories in the Malaysia Super League.

PDRM FC fell 3-1 to Selangor FC at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium despite holding home advantage.

Chrigor Moraes opened the scoring for Selangor in the 21st minute, heading in a cross from Faisal Halim.

The striker doubled the lead just after half-time with another headed goal from an Alvin Fortes delivery in the 49th minute.

PDRM’s Fakhrul Azim reduced the deficit with a powerful long-range strike in the 53rd minute.

Selangor sealed the 3-1 win when Noor Al Rawabdeh finished a pass from Ahmad Zikri Khalili in the 67th minute.

Meanwhile, Sabah FC secured a 3-1 away victory over Terengganu FC at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium.

The hosts took the lead through Muhammad Akhyar Rashid in the 34th minute following a fine pass from substitute Muhammad Safwan Mazlan.

Sabah equalised in first-half injury time as Fergus Tierney finished a cross from Miguel Cifuentes.

Despite Terengganu’s second-half dominance, Sabah’s goalkeeper Daniel Lim made crucial saves.

Adjin Mujagic put Sabah ahead in the 73rd minute before converting an 89th-minute penalty to confirm the 3-1 win.

In another fixture, DPMM FC defeated Penang FC 2-0 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Brunei.

Jordan Murray scored in the 17th minute before Azwan Ali Rahman added a second in the 23rd minute.
