Terengganu FC sacks head coach Badrul Afzan Razali due to unsatisfactory results, appoints assistant Tengku Hazman Raja Hassan as interim coach.
KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) has relieved head coach Badrul Afzan Razali of his duties with immediate effect.
The club cited an unsatisfactory run of results in the Malaysia League this season as the reason for the decision.
Assistant head coach Tengku Hazman Raja Hassan has been appointed as the interim head coach until a permanent replacement is announced.
The decision was made by the club’s Technical Committee and Board of Directors after assessing the team’s performance in the FA Cup and Super League.
A statement on the club’s official Facebook page expressed TFCSB’s highest appreciation for Badrul Afzan’s commitment and service.
The 49-year-old from Kemaman was appointed head coach on a one-year term in June 2025.
He had previously served as acting head coach from October 2024 after Tomislav Steinbruckner stepped down amid fan pressure.
