The Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) and the Saudi Cycling Federation have officially signed the Host City Agreement for the 2026 Asian Road Cycling Championships, marking a major milestone for the sport in Saudi Arabia.
The signing ceremony took place in Riyadh, led by ACC President Dato’ Amarjit Singh Gill and Saudi Cycling Federation President Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al-Shahrani. Qassim City has been confirmed as the official host for the event, which will be held from 5–13 February 2026.
Backed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the championships will feature Elite Men and Women, Under-23, Junior, and Para-Cycling categories.
The event will bring together Asia’s top cyclists in a celebration of inclusivity, performance, and regional unity, underscoring the country’s growing commitment to cycling development and global sporting engagement.

Dato’ Amarjit Singh Gill said, “The Asian Road Cycling Championships is Asia’s premier road cycling event, and we are delighted to see the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — through Qassim City — stepping forward to host it with full commitment and vision.

Mr. Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al-Shahrani added, “Hosting the 2026 Asian Road Cycling Championships in Qassim is a proud moment for Saudi Arabia. It reflects our ambition to make the Kingdom a leading destination for international cycling and to inspire a new generation of Saudi cyclists through this prestigious continental event.” Both leaders agreed that the 2026 edition will serve as a key qualification event for international competitions while promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainable growth of cycling across the continent.
