SIBU: Police have detained three local men to assist in the murder investigation of a foreign national following a fight at a hotel here.
Sibu District Police Chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said the suspects, aged between 27 and 31, will be brought to court for a remand application.
Initial examinations found all three suspects had injuries to their arms and bodies linked to the incident.

Background checks revealed none of the suspects have prior criminal records.
Police received information at about 4.22 am that a foreign national was brought to Sibu Hospital unconscious.
The 27-year-old victim was believed to have been involved in a fight at a hotel in the Sibu town area.
He was confirmed dead at Sibu Hospital due to severe head injuries.
The motive for the incident is still under investigation.
The case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
