Wanita maut dirempuh van Thailand langgar lampu merah di Kubang Pasu

Seorang wanita maut selepas motosikalnya dirempuh van Thailand yang melanggar lampu isyarat merah di Napoh, Kubang Pasu, malam tadi.

ALOR SETAR: Seorang wanita maut selepas motosikal yang ditunggangnya dirempuh sebuah van Thailand yang melanggar lampu isyarat merah di Napoh, dekat Kubang Pasu, malam tadi.

Mangsa dikenali sebagai Fatin Nursyafikah Haris Bawijad, 22, yang bekerja sebagai pembantu kedai makan.

Ketua Polis Daerah Kubang Pasu Supt Mohd Radzi Abdul Rahim berkata polis menerima maklumat mengenai kemalangan itu kira-kira jam 10.30 malam.

“Siasatan awal mendapati kejadian berlaku apabila pemandu van lelaki warga Thailand berusia 60 tahun yang dalam perjalanan menuju ke Satun, Thailand tidak berhenti semasa lampu isyarat merah,” katanya.

Van itu kemudian melanggar motosikal yang dinaiki mangsa yang datang dari simpang sebelah kiri.

Mangsa meninggal dunia di lokasi kejadian akibat kecederaan parah.

Mayat mangsa dihantar ke Unit Forensik Hospital Jitra untuk proses bedah siasat.

Pemandu van itu tidak mengalami sebarang kecederaan dan telah ditahan untuk siasatan.

Saringan awal air kencing mendapati beliau negatif dadah.

Kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 41(1) Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987.
