Malaysian actress Nadia Kesuma confirmed to have left Jeddah airport

Foreign Ministry confirms actress Nadia Kesuma exited Jeddah airport after being reported missing, with consulate and Saudi police continuing search efforts.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that actress Nadia Kesuma, reported missing while transiting in Jeddah, has exited the airport premises.

Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the confirmation came from Saudi Arabian immigration authorities to the Malaysian Consulate General in Jeddah.

“After 20 hours of being uncontactable, the case can be classified as a missing person report,” he told reporters at the 2025 UMNO General Assembly.

Mohamad said he instructed the consulate to make every effort to assist in the search for the actress.

Nadia Kesuma became uncontactable after transiting at King Abdul Aziz International Airport en route from Kuala Lumpur to London last Thursday.

The Malaysian consulate is working closely with Saudi police to ensure search efforts are smooth and effective.

“We must place our trust in the competence of the police, and we ask the family to remain calm,” Mohamad added.

He stressed that the travel agency responsible for arranging Nadia’s trip must also play a role in managing the case.

Malaysian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Datuk Syed Bakri Syed Abdul Rahman said a report on the disappearance had been lodged.

The embassy is awaiting the outcome of investigations by the Saudi police.
