Actress Nadia Kesuma passed away in Jeddah from a heart condition. She’ll be buried in Saudi Arabia

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian actress Nadia Kesuma has died in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from a heart-related medical issue, according to confirmation from family sources.

According to Kosmo, Jasmin Hajar, a business associate of the late actress’s husband, disclosed that she received notification of the death from Nadia’s spouse after he was contacted by Malaysian authorities.

“Her husband informed me following communication from Wisma Putra,” the 50-year-old Jasmin stated. “He mentioned that she will be laid to rest in Jeddah, which had been her wish—she always wanted to be there.”

The actress’s husband and daughter departed for Jeddah this morning. Her body is currently being held at King Fahd Hospital.

Dr. Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan Abdullah, Nadia’s husband, announced her passing through a Facebook post, expressing profound grief over losing his wife.

“It is with immense sadness that I announce the death of my cherished wife, Nadiah Kasumawati Abdul Karim, who died peacefully in the prophets’ land, Jeddah, at 8.07am on January 15, 2026,” his statement read.

He described his late wife as devoted, affectionate, and sincere, praising her commitment to their marriage.

The 50-year-old actress, known for her roles in Malaysian films including “Syaitan Munafik” and “Kudeta,” had been reported missing days earlier after landing at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah last Thursday.

She was traveling as part of a 21-person umrah pilgrimage group organised by a Malaysian travel agency, scheduled from January 14 to 28.
