A 61-year-old man and his 64-year-old wife plead not guilty to possessing a revolver, ammunition and cannabis at their Kluang home.
KLUANG: An elderly married couple has pleaded not guilty to charges of possessing a firearm, ammunition and drugs.
Koh Yaw, 61, and his wife Ong Kim Chu, 64, entered their pleas at the Sessions Court here after the charges were read to them in Mandarin.
They are jointly accused of possessing a Taurus Brasil .38 SPL revolver and 33 rounds of ammunition without lawful authority.

The couple is also charged with possessing approximately 84.54 grammes of cannabis.
The offences were allegedly committed at a house along Jalan 3/2, Taman Sri Kluang around 12.30 am on January 22.
They face charges under the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971 and the Arms Act 1960, read with Section 34 of the Penal Code.
For the drug offence, they are charged under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Deputy public prosecutor Nur Ramizah Razli prosecuted the case, while both accused were unrepresented.
Judge Mujib Saroji denied the couple bail and fixed February 27 for document submission and the appointment of legal counsel. – Bernama
