Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim concludes a two-day family visit to Johor, highlighting the state’s heritage and tourism potential.
JOHOR BAHRU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed gratitude after a two-day family visit exploring Johor’s historical and cultural sites.
“Alhamdulillah, Johor (visit) completed,” he said briefly before departing from JB Sentral Station for Kuala Lumpur on the Electric Train Service 3 (ETS3).
He was accompanied by his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, and Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad chief operating officer Afzar Zakariya.
The Prime Minister’s family arrived at the station and departed on the scheduled service.
Anwar also mingled and took photographs with visitors and staff at the terminal.
Upon his arrival in Johor the previous day, he visited Johor Zoo with his grandchildren.
He interacted with visitors and received briefings on the zoo’s latest developments.
Anwar expressed hope that Johor Zoo would continue to be strengthened as a recreational, educational and heritage asset.
This morning, he also visited the Royal Abu Bakar Museum.
The museum houses valuable royal collections and the historical heritage of the Johor Sultanate.
In a Facebook post, he praised the Johor state government’s continuous efforts to upgrade heritage assets.
He said these efforts strengthen tourism attractions in line with the Visit Johor 2026 aspirations.
