Widower appeals for wife’s phone after fatal crash in Perak

Man seeks return of gold iPhone 11 Pro Max containing memories after wife killed in Bagan Datuk accident

A grieving husband whose wife died in a traffic accident on February 1 (Sunday) has issued a public appeal for the return of her mobile phone and personal items that disappeared from the crash scene.

The man made his plea through the Viral Perak Facebook page, requesting anyone who may have taken or discovered the belongings to contact him at a provided phone number. He chose not to publicly identify himself in the post.

“With a heavy heart, I appeal to anyone who may have taken or come across a gold iPhone 11 Pro Max and the belongings of the deceased to please contact us and return them,” the man wrote.

He emphasized the profound significance of recovering the device, explaining that it contains irreplaceable family memories of his late wife.

“The phone is extremely important as it holds countless memories of our loved one for our family,” he stated.

The victim, identified as Nor Suhaila Shariff, lost her life in a collision that occurred around midnight in Bagan Datuk. She was traveling in a southbound direction along WCE when the fatal accident took place.

Beyond requesting the return of personal belongings, the widower also asked members of the public to come forward with any dashcam recordings that may have captured the accident or events surrounding it.

The appeal highlights the additional distress faced by families dealing with tragedy when personal items vanish from accident scenes, compounding their grief with the loss of sentimental possessions.

The missing gold-colored iPhone 11 Pro Max represents more than just a material possession for the bereaved family—it serves as a digital repository of photographs, videos, and other personal content documenting cherished moments with the deceased.

Anyone with information regarding the missing items or who possesses relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact the number provided in the original Facebook post on the Viral Perak page.
