Sharing the experience on social media, the customer said they only realised what was happening after they had already finished eating.
“So stressful… I only noticed rats running around the place after I had finished eating. The staff were also too busy on their phones to even notice them. I don’t even know how to feel,” the customer wrote.
The post quickly gained traction online, with many users saying the incident would have ruined their appetite and raised serious concerns about food safety.
Several commenters were particularly disturbed by the claim that staff members appeared unaware of the rats, alleging that they were focused on their mobile phones instead of monitoring the dining area.
Others said that regardless of whether the rodents entered from outside or were already present on the premises, the incident highlighted the importance of maintaining proper cleanliness and ensuring staff remain vigilant during operating hours.
“I got food poisoning after eating here,” one user, mndssun, commented.
“This shop has gone viral many times for being dirty. Health officers even ordered them to remove the halal logo displayed outside because its status was questionable. Even so, it is still packed with customers every day, and they have even opened three or four branches,” waniisani wrote.
