Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek says STAM 2025 results are positive, with a national GPA of 2.81 and 61 candidates achieving top grades.

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2025 Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) examination results have been described as encouraging nationwide.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the exam was significant for the first cohort completing the three-year Upper Secondary Integrated Dini Curriculum.

Curriculum enhancements developed with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif yielded positive outcomes, with the National Grade Point Average recorded at 2.81.

Candidates from schools under the Ministry of Education achieved a commendable average GPA of 2.63.

A total of 61 candidates obtained the Mumtaz grade in all 10 subjects, including 30 from MOE schools.

Overall, 2,816 candidates met the requirements to be awarded the STAM certificate.

Fadhlina said candidates adapted well to the new examination format for four core subjects.

These subjects are Hifz al-Quran and Tajwid, Tauhid and Mantiq, Hadith and Mustolah, as well as Insya’ and Mutalaah.

A total of 4,382 candidates registered for the examination at 135 centres nationwide.

Examination attendance reached 98.7%, with attendance among MOE school candidates higher at 99.1%.

The minister expressed appreciation to teachers, parents, and staff for ensuring the smooth conduct of the exam.

“To all candidates, may this success serve as motivation to continue striving for excellence in the future,” she added.
