Terengganu snatch late 2-1 win to edge Melaka in Super League

Terengganu secured a 2-1 away win over Melaka FC in the Super League, while Negeri Sembilan fell at home to Imigresen FC in other matchday action

TERENGGANU FC clinched a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Melaka FC in the 2025/2026 Super League at Hang Jebat Stadium. The win keeps Terengganu in fifth place with 28 points, while Melaka remains near the bottom with 10.

Muhammad Akhyar Rashid opened the scoring for the visitors in the 35th minute. He tapped in a simple finish after a pass from Gervane Kastaneer following sustained pressure.

Melaka fought back in the second half and found an equaliser through Dino Kalesic. His long-range effort in the 73rd minute levelled the match.

The home side’s joy was short-lived, as Terengganu regained the lead just four minutes later. An unmarked Muhamad Baqiuddin Shamsudin beat goalkeeper Samuel Somerville to secure the three points.

In another match, Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) lost 1-2 to Imigresen FC at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium. NSFC took an early lead in the ninth minute through an own goal from Imigresen’s Vinicius Milani.

Eduardo Sosa then scored his second goal of the night in the 84th minute to seal the win for the visiting Imigresen FC.
