KUALA LUMPUR: Observers from ASEAN countries including Malaysia will be deployed under the peace deal signed by Cambodia and Thailand today.
United States President Donald Trump confirmed the deployment before witnessing the signing of the Cambodia-Thailand peace agreement.

The agreement known as the KL Peace Accord was signed by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.
Trump stated that Thailand and Cambodia agreed to cease all hostilities under the peace deal.
Both nations committed to building good neighbourly relationships through this agreement.
The United States President announced that 18 Cambodian prisoners of war will be released as part of the accord.
