Traffic summons discount excludes non-compoundable offences in Malaysia

Bukit Aman confirms 70% traffic summons discount excludes non-compoundable offences, campaign runs from November 1 to December 30.

KUALA LUMPUR: The 70% traffic summons payment reduction campaign offered by the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department does not apply to non-compoundable offences.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri stated that the discount offer is also subject to the current compound value with a minimum rate of RM30.

He confirmed that summons payment can be made through the MyBayar PDRM platform for users registered with MyDigital ID.

Payments can also be made at all district traffic counters and post offices nationwide according to his statement today.

Mohd Yusri announced that the campaign will run from November 1 until December 30.

He added that the campaign aligns with the government’s decision to restructure traffic summons compound rates and methods.

This restructuring will affect compounds issued by the Royal Malaysia Police and the Road Transport Department.

The new rates and methods will take effect on January 1, 2026 based on the principle of “The Less You Delay, The Less You Pay.”

Mohd Yusri explained that the public can enjoy lower compound rates if payments are made earlier.

He encouraged the public to settle their summonses before December 30 as support for government efforts.

This support aims to foster a more responsible, disciplined and safe driving culture among Malaysians. – Bernama
