KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara Malaysia has launched two limited-edition commemorative coin series marking Malaysia’s ASEAN chairmanship in 2025 and the Department of Statistics Malaysia’s 75th anniversary.

The ASEAN25 series features single-coloured sterling silver proof coins with 92.5% purity, weighing 31 grammes each.

Similarly, the DOSM75 series includes single sterling silver coins with identical specifications and purity.

Both silver coin series carry a face value of RM10 and will retail for RM363 per piece, with only 1,000 units available.

The ASEAN25 collection also offers two-coin Nordic gold brilliant uncirculated sets made from copper and other metals.

Each Nordic gold coin weighs 8.5 grammes and has a face value of RM1.

The two-coin ASEAN25 Nordic gold set costs RM24.20, limited to 5,000 sets nationwide.

Meanwhile, the DOSM75 single Nordic gold coin sells for RM16.50, also with 5,000 pieces available.

Collectors can purchase special two-coin sets containing one silver proof coin and one Nordic gold proof coin.

These combined sets are priced at RM396 each, with only 1,000 sets produced.

Purchase limits ensure fair public access, allowing one two-coin set, one silver coin, and up to five Nordic gold coins per person.

“Members of the public are advised to place their orders through BNM’s online system,” the central bank stated.

Orders open at duit.bnm.gov.my from November 7, 2025, at 12:00 pm until November 17, 2025, at 8:59 am. – Bernama
