A boy’s heartbreak over his favourite café’s closure moves netizens, who suggest nearby branches to cheer him up

GOOD food, good mood,” as the saying goes — but for one little boy, his mood was shattered upon discovering that his favourite restaurant had closed permanently in his neighbourhood.

In a post on Threads, Nurraini Suhaimi shared photos of her elder son looking heartbroken and teary-eyed in front of the locked Richiamo Coffee outlet at Sentul Point.

She explained that her son loved the café’s spaghetti bolognese and was devastated to find the branch no longer operating.

Hoping to cheer him up, Nurraini asked netizens to suggest nearby outlets of the same food chain.

Alongside the post, she also shared cheerful snapshots from previous visits, showing her son happily enjoying his favourite meal — a clear sign of how much joy the eatery brought him.

Nurraini added that even offering to take him to another café nearby couldn’t lift his spirits, as he insisted that only Richiamo’s version of the spaghetti would do.

Moved by the post, netizens flooded the comments with comforting messages and suggestions.

Many recommended nearby Richiamo Coffee branches in Gombak and Wangsa Maju, assuring her that the taste would be just as good.

In response, the mother said she had managed to console her son, promising to take him to the Gombak outlet soon.

Some netizens, touched by the boy’s pure love for the dish, said they now wanted to try the spaghetti themselves.

“Is the spaghetti at Richiamo that delicious? Alright then, I’ve got to try it,” commented Shima.

Another user, Nabila, even offered to treat the boy at the Rawang branch near her office, saying she would be happy to make his day.
