M’sia finish second at World Corporate Golf Challenge

Team Malaysia shines at the 2025 World Corporate Golf Challenge, finishing 2nd behind China in a thrilling global showcase of golf and business.

THE 32nd edition of the World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) World Final recently concluded grandly at the prestigious Dongzhuang Beach Golf Club in Shanghai, marking another milestone in the history of theworld’s most respected corporate golf tournament.

The event showcased an extraordinary convergence of golf, global business, and cultural exchange, reinforcing WCGC’s reputation as the leading platform connecting executives through sport.

After two thrilling days of world-class competition, Team Malaysia represented by Isyraf Widad Muhammad Ikmal Opat and Muhammad Adib Ibrahim of Widad Skycore (M) Sdn Bhd delivered an outstanding performance, securing second place with a total of 80 points, just one point behind the eventual champions, China’s Guojiao 1573

Team 2 who claimed the title, securing victory with 81 points, while China’s Guojiao 1573 Team 1 delivered a strong performance to claimthird place with 79 points.

This impressive runner-up finish by Widad Skycore Malaysia not only highlights their skill and determination but also reinforces Malaysia’s growing stature in the global corporate golf arena.

Meanwhile, Team Leonian Malaysia represented by Anushka Gayan and Lee Robert also represented the nation admirably, finishing 5th with 74 points over two competitive days of play.

Bringing together executive teams from all over the world, the 2025 World Final once again proved to be much more than a competition. It offered participants a truly unique environment combining sporting excellence, international networking, and opportunities for global business engagement.

Teams from five continents came together to compete, share experiences, and strengthen the global community of corporate golfers.

Under the banner “Bringing the World of Golf & Business Together”, the 2025 edition of the WCGC World Final reaffirmed the event’s position as the benchmark for corporate golf worldwide.
