Five charged over alleged immoral activities at Chow Kit health centre

Five individuals, including two directors of a Chow Kit health centre, face charges linked to alleged immoral activities at the premises.

KUALA LUMPUR: Five individuals, including two directors of a health centre in Chow Kit, were charged in separate Magistrates’ Courts with various offences linked to alleged immoral activities at the premises.

The directors, Lee Leong Yaw, 59, and Pung Hiyun Hee, 70, pleaded not guilty before Magistrate S. Arunjothy to a joint charge of allowing immoral activities to take place at their licensed premises on Jalan Ipoh Kecil.

Their employees Ong Seng Teck, 64, Mohd Fikri Mohd Razali, 44, and Muhammad Wafiy Dinie Azmi, 20, also pleaded not guilty to separate charges before Magistrates Noorelynna Hanim Abd Halim and Ili Marisqa Khalizan.

Lee and Pung were charged under the Trade, Business and Industrial Licensing (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) By-Laws 2016, which provides for a maximum fine of RM2,000, imprisonment of up to one year, or both upon conviction.

The alleged offence of allowing immoral activities at the premises, which also operates a sauna, jacuzzi, gymnasium and café, took place at 8 pm on Nov 28, 2025.

Ong was charged under Section 292(a) of the Penal Code for possessing a mobile phone containing obscene videos at the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters on Nov 30, 2025.

Mohd Fikri faced a similar charge before Magistrate Noorelynna Hanim for possessing obscene materials on his mobile phone at the same location and time.

Before Magistrate Ili Marisqa, Muhammad Wafiy Dinie was charged with committing an act of gross indecency by allegedly groping a 47-year-old man at the Chow Kit premises at 8 pm on Nov 28.

The court granted bail of RM2,000 each to Lee and Pung, RM3,800 to Ong, RM4,000 to Mohd Fikri, and RM2,800 to Muhammad Wafiy Dinie.

The cases have been fixed for mention on April 24, May 18 and June 9.

The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutors Vivi’Asnita Zaina’Larifin, Iman Nurhidayah Ezani and Syafika Azwa Fikri.

The accused were represented by lawyers Zaid Malek, Mahajoth Singh, Reenajit Kaur Golen, Raqib Osman and Jeichandran Santhirasegaran.
