Pipes fall from apartment block, damages cars in Damansara

Multiple pipes fell from an apartment building in Damansara at 1.33am, narrowly missing vehicles on the road.

A driver experienced a heart-stopping moment when a series of pipes came crashing down from an apartment building, hitting the road just metres ahead of his car.

The incident was captured on dashcam footage at 1.33am at an apartment complex in Damansara, according to a post by user @AminNasrun on Threads.

In the video recorded at one of the blocks, the driver is seen suddenly slowing down after noticing several long pipes falling from the upper floors of the apartment building.

“This happened on my way back from buying groceries. Imagine if those pipes had fallen when a motorcycle was passing by… Many cars got scratched,” the user wrote.

Another car was ahead of the driver during the incident and was lucky the pipes only struck the rear portion of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, in the comments section, many residents from other blocks of the apartment complex confirmed hearing an extremely loud crash.

“I live in Block B, heard it loud and clear last night. So this is what fell. Really terrifying,” commented Nurul Atika.

“What kind of pipes are these? Rainwater drainage pipes?,” commented Arsyad Kamarudin.

The incident has raised concerns about building maintenance and safety standards at the apartment complex.
