Dongfeng Malaysia showcases the MHero II, Voyah Dream and 008 at KLIMS 2026, hinting at future additions to its local lineup.
Dongfeng Malaysia has previewed three new models at the ongoing Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, giving us a look at what could join the brand’s local line-up in the future.
The three models are the MHero II SUV, Voyah Dream MPV and Dongfeng 008 SUV. All three are making their first public appearance in Malaysia, although Dongfeng Malaysia has not confirmed official launch timing or pricing for any of them yet.
MHero II: Range-extender luxury off-road SUV

The most rugged-looking model of the trio is the MHero II, a luxury off-road SUV from Dongfeng’s MHero sub-brand. If the name sounds unfamiliar, MHero is essentially Dongfeng’s more extreme off-road division, with a focus on electrified SUVs with a much tougher image.
The MHero II measures 5,100 mm long, 1,998 mm wide and 1,899 mm tall, with a 3,005 mm wheelbase. That makes it larger than a Tank 500 in overall length, while its wheelbase is longer than several other large Chinese SUVs in the same broad category.
According to Dongfeng Malaysia, the MHero II is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with dual electric motors. The range-extended EV (REEV) setup produces a total system output of 687 hp and offers a combined driving range of up to 1,300 km.
Dongfeng Malaysia has not released the full technical details for the Malaysian preview unit. However, based on China-market specifications, the MHero II produces up to 848 Nm of torque, with a front motor rated at 272 PS and a rear motor rated at 279 PS. It is also capable of doing 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
In China, the MHero II is also offered with all-wheel drive, intelligent E-lock, multiple terrain modes and a wading depth of up to 900 mm. Other available features include a 15.6-inch infotainment display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display, digital rear-view mirror, Dynaudio sound system, 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L), 256-colour ambient lighting and a five-litre centre console fridge.
Voyah Dream: Luxury PHEV MPV

Next is the Voyah Dream, a large premium MPV from Dongfeng’s Voyah luxury sub-brand. In China, the Voyah Dream is available in both plug-in hybrid and fully electric forms, although the unit previewed at KLIMS 2026 is the PHEV version.
Dongfeng Malaysia describes the Voyah Dream as its flagship luxury MPV, designed for families and executives. The company says the PHEV version offers a combined driving range of up to 1,500 km, although it has not specified the test cycle.
The Voyah Dream is a rather large MPV, measuring 5,315 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,820 mm tall, with a 3,200 mm wheelbase. This puts it among the largest luxury MPVs in its class, longer than models such as the Xpeng X9 and close in wheelbase to the Zeekr 009.
Based on China-market specifications, the latest PHEV version uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with two electric motors, producing a total system output of 653 PS and 915 Nm. It is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, with a top speed of 203 km/h.
The PHEV version can be equipped with a 62.5 kWh battery, giving it a claimed EV-only range of up to 350 km on the CLTC cycle. The system also uses an 800V electrical architecture and supports 5C charging.
The Voyah Dream also gets features such as air suspension with continuous damping control, rear-wheel steering of up to five degrees, a 29-inch augmented-reality head-up display, a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted rear entertainment screen, a 15.6-inch touchscreen and a 13-litre centre console fridge.
The KLIMS preview unit is a seven-seater, although a more luxurious four-seat version is also offered in China. Whether that version will be considered for Malaysia remains to be seen.
Dongfeng 008: Six-seat electric SUV with up to 636 km CLTC range

Completing the trio is the Dongfeng 008, a large intelligent SUV that focuses more on family practicality and premium comfort.
In China, the 008 is available there in five- and six-seat layouts, as well as fully electric and range-extender versions. The unit shown at KLIMS 2026 is a left-hand-drive six-seater EV with two captain chairs in the second row.
Size-wise, the 008 measures 5,002 mm long and 1,972 mm wide, with a 3,025 mm wheelbase. That makes it a very large three-row SUV, with dimensions closer to full-size family SUVs rather than conventional mid-size crossovers.
According to Dongfeng Malaysia, the fully electric version offers up to 636 km of driving range and is powered by a 200 kW electric motor. Based on China-market specifications, that rear-mounted motor produces 272 PS and 340 Nm, paired with an 82.28 kWh LFP battery.
The battery can be charged from 30 to 80% in 28 minutes. The quoted 636 km range is based on the CLTC cycle, which would likely translate to around 520 km on the stricter WLTP cycle.
Inside, the 008 follows the familiar high-end Chinese EV formula. It gets an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, a 9.2-inch digital rear-view mirror and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. Rear passengers get a 15.6-inch entertainment screen, while the cabin also features a fridge that opens like a drawer below the front centre console.
Other features include heated and ventilated second-row seats, 64-colour ambient lighting, 50W wireless charging and a 20-speaker audio system that includes headrest speakers.
In China, the 008 is also available as a range-extender, pairing a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with a 34.32 kWh LFP battery and the same rear electric motor. That version offers up to 210 km of CLTC EV-only range and a combined range of up to 1,300 km on the same cycle.
The company says the KLIMS 2026 preview reflects its intention to expand its NEV portfolio and bring more premium and intelligent mobility options to Malaysia. Dongfeng Malaysia is also working on expanding its retail and service network nationwide, including dealer partnerships and future opportunities involving the Voyah brand.
Dongfeng Malaysia is also running an Ambassador Search Campaign until 31 July 2026, with participants standing a chance to win up to RM100,000 in cash prizes and a one-year car sponsorship of their preferred model. Visitors can view the MHero II, Voyah Dream and Dongfeng 008 at the Dongfeng booth at KLIMS 2026, which runs at MITEC until 21 June.
