Ziarah Kasih MADANI to be expanded for better aid distribution

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil says the Ziarah Kasih MADANI initiative will be intensified nationwide to ensure those in need receive comprehensive assistance.

BATU PAHAT: The Ministry of Communications, through the Department of Information (JAPEN), will continue to intensify the Ziarah Kasih MADANI to identify individuals and families in need of assistance or special attention within local communities.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the initiative would be carried out in collaboration with MADANI Communities nationwide to ensure assistance is delivered more comprehensively to those in need.

“Insya-Allah, my colleagues at JAPEN and I will continue the Ziarah Kasih MADANI wherever we go, working together with various parties, including MADANI Communities, to identify cases within the community that may require assistance or special attention.

“I hope we will be able to provide more comprehensive assistance to these families in the future, insya-Allah,” he told Bernama after conducting the Ziarah Kasih MADANI programme here today.

Earlier, Fahmi visited two families facing hardship – 60-year-old stroke patient Radzali Jabit at Kampung Sungai Lurus, and homemaker Siti Aisyah Udin, 43, who is caring for her three children with thalassaemia at a housing area in Lorong Bunga Siantan.

Fahmi, who is also the MADANI Government spokesperson, said the visits were aimed at assessing the circumstances of the two families firsthand, in line with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s call for Cabinet ministers to engage directly with the people and better understand the challenges they face.

He said the visits identified opportunities for various agencies to assist the families, including through collaboration with the Islamic Religious Department and Baitulmal.

“In Puan Siti Aisyah’s case, we hope to help her improve her skills so that she can earn a better income to support her family,” he said.

The Ziarah Kasih MADANI is a grassroots outreach initiative spearheaded by JAPEN to engage with those in need while identifying the community’s actual issues and needs through collaboration with MADANI Communities.

The initiative also serves as a platform to connect eligible recipients with relevant agencies, enabling assistance and intervention to be delivered more effectively.
