Multi-platinum singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Daniel Seavey is entering a new creative chapter with the release of his latest solo EP Dream Crusher via Atlantic Records.
The four-track project arrives after a run of sold-out performances, where Seavey performs the entire EP live using only a looper pedal and multiple instruments. The one-man set-up has become a defining feature of his solo career, highlighting his musicianship and ability to create immersive live performances.
A more personal chapter
At its core, Dream Crusher explores the journey of letting go of people-pleasing tendencies in favour of authenticity and self-preservation.
“For a long time I made myself into whatever people needed. I was the yes man, the easy one, the people pleaser. These songs are me unlearning all of that and letting go of the version of myself that lived to keep everyone else comfortable. I stopped filling every room and heart I walked into, and for the first time I left space for me,” said Seavey.
Musically, the EP continues to expand Seavey’s sound, blending soaring melodies with dynamic instrumentation and the live musicianship that has become synonymous with his solo work.
Built for the stage
Dream Crusher includes previously released singles Love’s a Gun and Time to Time (Annie), both of which debut live during Seavey’s support slot on Charlie Puth’s Whatever’s Clever! tour.
His performance style continues to draw attention online. By layering vocals and instruments in real time using a looper pedal, Seavey creates full-band arrangements on stage as a solo performer. Videos of these performances regularly rack up millions of views, further cementing his reputation as one of pop’s most exciting live acts.
His touring momentum continues later this year with an appearance at the inaugural Yours Always Music Festival alongside Benson Boone, Sombr and other artistes.
Southeast Asia remains a key audience
As Seavey continues to build his solo career, Southeast Asia remains one of his strongest streaming regions.
Among his top 10 global markets, the Philippines ranks fourth, followed by Indonesia in sixth and Malaysia in 10th place. Singapore also ranks among his top 10 cities worldwide, reflecting his growing fanbase across the region.
With nearly 300 million global solo streams and close to six million followers across social media, Seavey continues to establish himself as one of pop’s rising solo artistes following the release of his 2025 debut album Second Wind.
