Minister calls on youth to save consistently with Tabung Haji and maintain health to perform haj while young and physically capable.

SERDANG: Young Muslims have been urged to start financial planning with Lembaga Tabung Haji and prioritise their health to perform the haj pilgrimage at an early age.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar emphasised that consistent saving is crucial for fulfilling this fifth pillar of Islam while still young and healthy.

“I hope depositors remain mindful of their haj obligations and stay committed to maintaining good health so they are physically prepared when the time comes to fulfil the pilgrimage,” he said.

He stressed the importance of beginning savings immediately with Tabung Haji to enable performing haj while still strong and capable.

Dr Mohd Na’im was speaking at the launch of TAHA Run 2025, which attracted over 1,000 participants aged 18 to 25.

The event featured three-kilometre and five-kilometre running categories under the theme “Run for A Lifetime Journey.”

Organised by Tabung Haji, the run aimed to promote awareness about saving, financial planning, and healthier lifestyles among youth. – Bernama
