Kelantan residents must evacuate immediately when instructed during floods to ensure safety, says MB Mohd Nassuruddin Daud
KOTA BHARU: Kelantan residents affected by floods must relocate immediately when instructed by authorities to ensure family safety.
Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud stressed this is crucial to avoid unwanted incidents, particularly loss of life.
“As water levels rise, the evacuation process becomes more difficult and risky,” he said after visiting flood evacuees at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tapang here today.
He noted all temporary relief centres are fully equipped to shelter flood victims, though they may not be as comfortable as home.
“The most important thing is safety,” he added while delivering essential aid to evacuees.
Mohd Nassuruddin confirmed all relief centres in the state are well-prepared to accommodate flood victims based on monitoring.
He acknowledged Kelantan faces floods annually and the state government always works closely with the federal government to manage the situation. – Bernama
