Road-to-Fitness Challenge 2025 celebrates 25 transformations

KL Wellness City’s 8-month Road-to-Fitness Challenge 2025 sees 25 participants achieve health goals

KL Wellness City has concluded its inaugural Road-to-Fitness Challenge 2025, an 8-month community wellness programme that successfully empowered 25 Malaysians to achieve significant health transformations. The initiative, which ran from March 29 to November 2025, demonstrated the impact of community-driven health engagement and accessible wellness programming.

Community-Driven Wellness Success

Co-founded by three entrepreneurs — Datuk Seri Dr. Vincent Tiew, Rizal Kamal, and Datuk Irwin Cheong — the Road-to-Fitness Challenge recorded 276 sign-ups and welcomed over 1,000 participants across its series of monthly activities held at KL Wellness City in Bukit Jalil.

The programme brought together strategic partners from the health and fitness ecosystem, including Anovator, Warrior Plunge, Impulse Studio, MySole Solutions, Ultra Lab, and various wellness specialists. This collaborative approach enabled participants to access comprehensive health services, including body composition assessments, ice-plunge sessions, EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) training, body alignment consultations, injury-risk assessments, and a curated lineup of fitness and lifestyle educational talks.

Remarkable Transformation Results

Among the 25 participants who successfully achieved their personal transformation goals, entrepreneur Kenny Ng emerged as one of the standout achievers. He accomplished an impressive 15 percentage point body fat reduction, transforming from 42.5% to 27.5% body fat within the eight-month programme period — a testament to the effectiveness of sustained community support and structured wellness guidance.

The programme targeted three distinct transformation pathways based on participants’ starting fitness levels:

A minimum 10% reduction in body fat for overweight participants

A minimum 5% increase in muscle mass for underweight participants

Maintenance of optimal fitness levels for athletic category participants

Founders’ Vision for Community Wellness

Tiew, co-founder of the Road-to-Fitness Challenge, emphasised the programme’s deeper purpose beyond individual fitness goals. He noted that the initiative reflects what community wellness can achieve when knowledge, support, and purpose converge.

“Road-to-Fitness is more than a challenge, it reflects what community wellness can achieve when knowledge, support, and purpose come together,” Tiew stated.

“At KL Wellness City, we believe in creating ecosystems that empower Malaysians to take ownership of their health.”

For Tiew personally, the programme represents a meaningful achievement alongside his yearly Ironman Challenge, serving as a reminder that true wellness is a lifelong discipline where action speaks louder than words. He expressed excitement about continuing the movement and inspiring more lives in 2026.

Meanwhile co-founder Rizal, highlighted the accessibility of modern health knowledge and the individual responsibility in making lifestyle changes. He emphasised that fitness, longevity, and well-being information is now widely available, with clear science and real breakthroughs making health transformation more achievable than ever before.

“Health has to be our number one priority,” Kamal stated. “The tools are there, the science is clear, and the breakthroughs are real. In the end, it’s up to each of us to make the change for ourselves and for the people we love.”

Cheong expressed enthusiasm about the programme’s future trajectory. He indicated that as the Class of 2025 concludes, the team is already excited about expanding the programme in 2026, noting the tremendous commitment demonstrated by the community.

Celebration and Future Plans

The successful completion of the 2025 cycle was marked with a festive gathering at KL Wellness City, which coincidentally aligned with a special birthday celebration for the three founders, all of whom share November as their birth month.

The programme’s structure provided participants with baseline body composition data at the start, followed by a self-directed transformation journey supported by a dedicated WhatsApp community and monthly engagement activities. This combination of technology-enabled support and in-person activities created a sustainable framework for long-term health behavior change.
