Woman’s car damaged after motorcyclist hurled rock following lane merge dispute on Pasir Gudang Highway
A female driver experienced a frightening road rage incident when an aggressive motorcyclist threw a rock at her vehicle, causing extensive damage to both the rear and front windows.
The alarming encounter, shared on social media platform Threads, has sparked widespread condemnation from netizens demanding accountability for the dangerous behavior.
The incident occurred along the highway from Perling Toll Plaza heading towards Taman Bukit Indah in Johor Bahru. According to the victim’s account, she had activated her turn signals while merging into the car lane when the motorcyclist suddenly accelerated from behind.
The rider immediately began honking aggressively, displayed obscene gestures, and deliberately struck her vehicle’s side mirror. Concerned about documenting the incident, the victim attempted to pursue the motorcyclist to capture his license plate number.
During the pursuit, the motorcyclist retrieved a rock near a tunnel and targeted the victim’s vehicle. His initial attempt to throw the projectile toward the passenger side failed when the car accelerated away.
However, when the victim stopped at a traffic signal, the motorcyclist seized the opportunity to launch the rock from behind. The impact completely shattered the rear window and caused additional damage to the front windscreen.

Following the incident, the victim filed a police report at Taman Perling Police Station, citing personal safety concerns.
Iskandar Puteri OCPD Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan confirmed the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief causing damage exceeding RM25, as well as Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
The victim indicated she believed the motorcyclist was Singaporean and attempted to file a cross-border report with Singapore authorities but was unable to proceed without a SingPass account.
She also issued an apology to other motorists who witnessed the incident unfold on the highway.
The social media post generated significant attention, with commenters expressing shock at the violent escalation over a routine lane change. Many tagged law enforcement agencies from both Malaysia and Singapore, urging swift action against the perpetrator.
The incident underscores the dangers of road rage and aggressive driving behavior on Malaysian highways, with authorities noting that throwing objects at moving vehicles poses serious risks not only to targeted drivers but also to other road users. myBSN
