Two people injured when light aircraft made emergency landing near Tekah Airport due to engine issues

PETALING JAYA: An instructor pilot and student sustained injuries yesterday when their small aircraft was forced into an emergency landing close to Tekah Airport in Taiping.

According to Taiping police chief Mohamad Nasir Ismail in a Facebook post, the plane encountered mechanical problems with its engine, necessitating an unscheduled touchdown in a nearby open field.

The two occupants, a 46-year-old and a 40-year-old, received medical attention at Taiping Hospital following the incident. Medical staff confirmed both individuals are currently in stable condition.

Law enforcement officers were immediately dispatched to the crash site to secure the area and carry out preliminary investigations into the circumstances surrounding the emergency landing.
