Second KP1M mission for Gaza arrives in Cairo

CAIRO: The second group of Kelab Putera 1Malaysia (KP1M) humanitarian mission to Gaza along with about seven metric tonnes of food and medical supply landed safely at the Cairo Airport today.
The group comprising 11 media personnel, eight volunteers and a doctor arrived at the airport from the KL International Airport (KLIA) around 6am local time (11am Malaysia time).
KP1M vice-president, Datuk Mohd Farid Hassan, who arrived in Cairo earlier with the first group, said the supply would be stored at the Malaysian Hall in Abbasiah, located around an hour's journey from the Cairo Airport.
"We will try to get clearance from the airport cargo, and see if we can move all the supply from the terminal to Abbasiah today, together with the three
metric tonnes of supply we brought earlier with the first group," he told reporters, here, today.
The first group of eight people arrived in Cairo last Thursday, while the rest of total 65 participants of the humanitarian mission lead by its president Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim are expected to depart KLIA tomorrow. – Bernama
