Baby girl boon for mother

    KUALA LUMPUR: A mother's dream finally came true when she gave birth to her fourth child, a girl, at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) on Federal Territory (FT) Day today.
    Siti Norhariani Kamal, 28, said she was not too hopeful of getting a girl as she had previously given birth to three boys, now aged between two to four years.
    "I really did not expect to give birth to a baby girl on FT Day as my 'due date' is Feb 25," she told reporters at HKL, here today.
    Her premature baby weighing 3.3kg was born at 1.25am today.
    Meanwhile, HKL's public relations officer, Mohamed Shazree Mustapha, said as at 3pm today, a total of 16 babies were born at the hospital of which 12 were normal births while four were by Caesarian section.
    At Hospital Pantai Kuala Lumpur, a baby girl weighing 2.81kg was born normally at about 2.13am today, according to the hospital's public relations officer, S. Hema Kumari. – Bernama
