OCK equipped for Myanmar

    PETALING JAYA: OCK Group Bhd has incorporated a subsidiary with Myanmar Integrated Networks (MIN) named MIN-OCK Infrastructure Pte Ltd.
    Myanmar is recognised as one of the fastest emerging markets for telecommunication networks, thus MIN-OCK intends to further explore opportunities in the provision of tower facilities, utilities, and communication network for mobile and broadband operators.
    Its group managing director Sam Ooi said: "We will be actively exploring the market in Myanmar for future contracts. At this point of time Myanmar is one of the fastest growing telecommunication network markets and we are keen to participate in the opportunities that arise in the country."
    To continuously grow the group's business, OCK has strengthened their management team with a new CEO Dr Yap Wai Khee. Yap, who has 16 years of experience in the telecommunication industry, has been holding senior management roles in several telecommunications in the past and has a wealth of experience in managing regional projects.
    "We are optimistic for the future of the group, and will continue to strategise and execute our expansions plans to continue with our business growth momentum" Ooi added.
