Flash flood causes massive traffic congestion in Jalan Cheras

KUALA LUMPUR: Heavy rain of over an hour in the city today caused flash flood and massive traffic congestion in Jalan Cheras near the Taman Billion roundabout, Cheras.
According to Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police operation room spokesman, the flash flood began to inundate the area at 5.20pm and began to recede at 5.45pm.
"The traffic flow in both direction of Jalan Cheras is still moving slowly, but no accident was reported," he told Bernama when contacted.
Meanwhile, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Emergency Control Room spokesman said all vehicles were allowed to resume their journey on the road at 6.15pm. – Bernama
