Policeman found dead after car crash

KAJANG : A car that crashed into a large group of motorcyclists taking shelter from heavy rain under a flyover at the Cheras-Kajang Grand Saga highway on Monday had not just claimed the life of a victim but also that of a policeman whose body was found about 10 hours later in a ravine.
Insp Mohd Nafzanee Mohd Adnan (pix), 36 who is attached to the Cheras CID's special task force was found dead in a ravine several metres from the accident scene at about 3am today.
His colleagues returned to the scene to search for him after finding only his motorcycle at the scene.
Cheras police chief ACP Chong Kok Sin said after scouring the area for about 90 minutes, the victim's body was spotted by the police before firemen were summoned to assist in retrieving it.
He said Nafzanee left behind his six year old twin children and his pregnant wife.
On Monday, a 19-year-old driver lost control of his car and ended up crashing it into the motorcyclists at 4.30pm at the highway.
A 53-year-old motorcyclist identified as Hasril Ab Rahman and five other bikers were seriously wounded in the crash.
