Taipei-Los Angeles flight lands safely after bomb threat

LOS ANGELES: A flight from Taipei to Los Angeles landed safely Tuesday after a bomb threat was made by phone while the plane was en route, local media reported.
A police bomb squad was on its way to Los Angeles International Airport, where the plane was being held in a secure location after landing safely at about 3.40 pm (2340 GMT).
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and airport officials were investigating the threat to EVA Air Flight 12, the FBI said in a statement, according to City News Service. – dpa
