GEORGE TOWN: In our July 29 story Query on Penang Islamic Foundation land sale, theSun wrongly identified the Penang Islamic Foundation (PIF) as the organisation which allegedly sold the land.
The seller is instead the Penang Bumiputra Foundation (Yayasan Bumiputra Pulau Pinang) as claimed by Pemenang (Penang Malay Association).
theSun regrets the error and any inconvenience caused by the error.
In a statement, the PIF said it has no connection to the sale of the land and noted the PIF was formed in 2012, eight years after the land was sold in 2004.
