TANAH MERAH: PKR reiterated its stand that it is open to accepting any party into the opposition pact, even the newly-formed Gerakan Harapan Baharu.
"We are open, to together fight injustice, abuse of power, corruption," said PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail at a news conference in conjunction with the 'Jelajah Amanat Presiden' programme here.
She was commenting on a statement by PAS spiritual leader Datuk Dr Haron Din recently that PAS was prepared to terminate its relationship with PKR if the party joined DAP and GHB to form a new opposition pact.
PKR vice-president Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, who was also present at the news conference, declined comment on GHB possibly joining the opposition pact.
"We do not know whether GHB will be a political party or not. We cross the bridge (when we come to it). We do not see the bridge as yet ... it is a little premature to comment," he said. – Bernama
