MARANG: The remains of Wan Suhana Wan Abdul Latif, the 33-year-old mother of a set of triplets involved in a road accident at Km3.8, Tampin-Gemas road on Saturday, was laid to rest in her village early this morning.
The woman died at about 1.35pm yesterday while receiving treatment at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital, Seremban. She was at the Kampung Serating Muslim cemetery at about 2am today.
Her mother, Kalsom Ludi, 61, said she received the sad news on her daughter at 1.40pm through a phone call from her eldest son.
"Prior to that, my son had asked me to recite the Yassin and pray hard for Wan Suhana. I managed to read the Yassin twice before I received his call telling me about her passing," she said when met at the funeral early this morning.
The 3.30pm crash killed a family of four, namely Wan Suhana's husband Fadzil Mohd Jusoh, 37, her mother-in-law Nazipah Chik, 60, and two of her triplets, Nur Farhana and Muhammad Farhan, aged one.
The surviving triplets, Muhammad Fahimi has been discharged, while Wan Suhana's injured sister-in-law, Nor Syuhaidah, 23, is still under treatment at Kuantan Hospital.
Kalsom said the last time she saw her daughter and her family was during the Aidil Fitri celebration in July apart from talking to her on the phone.
She also recalled how happy Wan Suhana and her husband Mohd Fadzil were when they had the triplets after waiting and trying to conceive for more than 10 years.
"They waited for so long to have babies and I am glad they finally had the opportunity to experience being parents to the triplets even its only for a year," she said.
Meanwhile, the victim's sister Wan Sumazliza, 35, said a week before the incident she chatted with Wan Suhana through Facebook.
She said Wan Suhana planned to return to their village after a family vacation in Johor. — Bernama
