RM2.1m worth of drugs disposed

HULU SELANGOR: Drugs worth RM2.1 million, which were seized in numerous anti-drugs operations, were disposed of in a drug disposal operation here yesterday.
Selangor narcotics investigations department (NCID) deputy chief Supt R. Sundralingam said the 545kg of drugs were seized in anti-drug operations carried out between 1997 until 2014.
"The drugs were accumulated evidence from 3053 cases that have been solved."
"The drugs were from operations conducted during the period from 1997 until 2014 involving 15 districts in the state," he told reporters when met at the Sg. Choh, Rawang incineration disposal site here yesterday.
Among the drugs destroyed were ganja, morphine, syabu, heroin, ketamine, ecstasy and other recreation pills.
Sundralingam also said there has been a gradual in the past two years.
