KANGAR: Although the National Fatwa Council has banned smoking, yet there are Muslims who smoke in mosque compounds.
Perlis Mufti, Prof Madya Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin, who regretted such acts, described the Muslims who did so as not having any brain.
"They not only throw the cigarette butts all over the place and dirty the mosque, they are also unaware that what was decided as unlawful could not be brought into the mosque," he said.
In his weekly Maghrib ceramah at Masjid Alwi here on Tuesday night, Mohd Asri advised Muslims to discard the bad habit as it was detrimental to one's health. — Bernama
