PETALING JAYA: Jailed former opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was yesterday admitted to hospital for a scheduled appointment.
It was earlier reported he was rushed to Hospital Kuala Lumpur at 2pm when his pressure became unstable due to a former shoulder injury.
PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil, in a statement, said Anwar needs intensive physiotherapy for the shoulder injury.
When contacted he said there is no update on Anwar's condition except that he is still under close observation.
"The family is all there in the hospital right now. There is no update on his condition yet," he told theSun.
Fahmi said Anwar urged the people to continue pushing for change.
"He has reminded PKR and Pakatan Harapan leadership to give priority to the issues faced by the people including the wrong administration of the economy which needs to be resolved.
"Change is imminent," he was quoted saying.
