DAP announces candidates for Selangor

PETALING JAYA: Six new faces and one former assemblyman have been named by DAP to contest in 16 Selangor state seats in the upcoming GE14.
The six new faces are Brian Lai (Teratai), Edry Faizal Yusof (Dusun Tua), Michelle Ng (Subang Jaya), Lim Yi Wei (Kampung Tunku), Jamaliah Jamaluddin (Bandar Utama, formerly known as Damansara Utama) and Tony Leong (Pandamaran).
Former Selangor executive councillor Ronnie Liu has been named as the candidate for Sungai Pelek, the seat that DAP won with a relatively narrow margin of 1,972 votes in the last elections.
The announcement was made by DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng at its Bangi election centre today.
Lim also announced the lineup of those who will be contesting for the party parliamentary and state seats, with all its four MPs retained to defend their respective seats.
