Fama offers MerdekaRaya sale discount

KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (Fama) is offering a discount of between five to 20% for Fama products ahead of the National Day and Aidiladha celebrations next week at farmers' markets nationwide.
Fama chairman Tan Sri Badaruddin Amiruldin said the MerdekaRaya sale has started since Monday and will end on September 1.
"Sales in conjunction with the National Day 2017 and Aidiladha hopefully can ease the burden of the people by buying Fama products at reasonable prices.
"The traders at the farmers' market should be commended for willing to forfeit their profits to give the best to our customers." he told reporters after launching the Fama level Independence Month programme at the Fama headquarters, Selayang near here today.
Also present was Fama director general Datuk Ahmad Ishak.
Fama also assured that the supply of essential commodities for the Aidiladha celebration would be sufficient, he said.
He invited the public to enliven the four-day Fama "Fruit, Flower and Food" programme, which commences tomorrow at the Rural Transformation Centre (RTC), Gopeng, Perak. — Bernama
