Felda settlers overjoyed to receive land grants

PEKAN: A total of 229 settlers who developed Felda Chini 3 and 5 in the last 33 years finally felt relieved after receiving their land grant letters from Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, here today.
The settlers met today said no words could describe the joys and gratefulness as they were finally accorded ownership of the land they having been working on for so long.
A settler from Felda Chini 5, Aznan Jeraai, 60, said today was a historic moment for him and his family as they had been yearning for the land title for so long.
"Despite facing various obstacles to develop the land here with other settlers, we felt our efforts paid off.
"So I want to thank the government for its appreciation and care of the settler community," he said.
Also present were Felda chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad and State Felda Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Seri Abu Bakar Harun. — Bernama
