PETALING JAYA: A Monday afternoon downpour resulted in flash floods in several parts of Selangor today.
One of the badly-hit areas was the exit to Jalan Templer here along the Federal Highway heading to Shah Alam.
Muddy water covered the exit lane over almost a 200m stretch, restricting vehicles from using the road.
Photos of the traffic jam, some taken from elevated positions, were shared on social media from about 5pm.
The road was covered with muddy floodwater, causing massive jams at the exit between Jalan 222 and Jalan Templer.
Flash floods along Jalan Reko in Kajang also slowed traffic to a crawl.
Some photos were posted on the Info Roadblock JPJ/Polis Facebook page, showing a stretch of Jalan Reko near a bus station in Kajang Prima completely inundated with muddy floodwaters.
The photos showed that the underpass was largely inaccessible to vehicles due to the flash flood.
