Gerakan supports good policies by PH govt

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Gerakan) will support polices by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) that bring bring good for the people and for the people's interests.
Its vice-president, Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai said the party would also play a role to monitor PH.
"Although we monitor, our approach is different from other political parties, whereby our criticism will be followed by measures to solve problems facing the government," he said at a media conference here today.
At the press conference, he also announced that Penang Gerakan chairman Oh Tong Keong would contest for the post of deputy president in the party election to be held on Nov 17.
A total of 1,500 delegates from the party branches, divisions and states will be given the responsibility of selecting their national leaders. Nomination of candidates for the election is on Nov 10. — Bernama
