PETALING JAYA: Romona International Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Lovehorses, is conducting a one-day programme for those interested in learning how to ride a horse as well getting to know the basics of archery, in conjunction with the March school holidays.
Its president, Datuk Seri Dr Romona Murad, said the event will be held on March 21 and 22 at the Putrajaya Equestrian Park.
Romona said autistic children were highly-encouraged to join as horse-riding helps reduce symptoms of autism and helps them develop natural core skills needed to function in society.
"We have special trainers to guide the kids. It also helps build their self-esteem, which is why we encourage everyone, especially autistic children, to participate," she told theSun yesterday.
Those who are interested to join the programme can contact Romona directly at 012-9309317 or email her at datoromona@gmail.com.
