Indonesian factory worker feared drowned in Bintulu

BINTULU: An Indonesian worker is feared drowned after falling into a river at Samalaju this morning.
Bintulu Fire and Rescue station head Di-Hata Gobel said the victim was identified as Aang Diapri, 18, a factory worker in the Kidurong industrial area.
The man was believed to have slipped while washing his feet at the river bank.
"The victim and a friend were going fishing when he slipped and was swept away by swift current," he said here today.
He said the station received a call on the incident at about 9.45am and so far a search and rescue operation was still going on.
"Rescuers are still searching for the victim using a boat," he added. — Bernama
