KUALA LUMPUR: Businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low is believed to be travelling on a passport of Saint Kitts and Nevis located in the Caribbean, according to Director-General of Immigration Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali.
"In the Jho Low matter, we are definitely working with the police. We revoked his Malaysian passport on June 15 on a request from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over an investigation into 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
"… and we believe he is using another passport, of Saint Kitts and Nevis, to move about," he said to reporters at Menara Ilham here today.
Asked about the extent of travel that could be made with that passport, Mustafar said: "It depends".
He said the department did not have further information and had to wait for developments from the police.
Media reports said that a police team seeking Jho Low in Hong Kong learned that he had left for Macau. — Bernama
