KUALA LUMPUR: Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) and Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) today launched the enhanced KL TravelPass, an integrated transport ticket which offers a convenient solution for travellers looking for a seamless travel experience on the rail network in Kuala Lumpur.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri launched the KL TravelPass at KL Sentral, here.
Speaking to reporters after the launching, she said the card would benefit both tourists and locals as they can connect easily to popular tourist spots and going around the city.
"With tourist arrivals projected to exceed 31 million this year, I have high hopes for the two rail partners to achieve their objective with the launch of the new KL TravelPass," she said.
Also present was ERL executive chairman Tan Sri Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh.
KL TravelPass comes with KLIA Ekspres airport transfers and two days unlimited rides on Rapid KL rail services.
Priced at RM70 for single trip and RM115 for return trips, the card is now available at KLIA Ekspres ticket counters in KLIA, klia2 and Departure Hall, KL Sentral.
Nancy said the launch of KL TravelPass was very well planned as it was just in time for athletes, officials and visitors flying in to attend the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games, which will be officially opened on Aug 19.
"With the two-day unlimited rides on LRT, MRT and monorail, this travel card will be a favourite among visitors as they can travel as much as they want," she added. — Bernama
